WWII German Signal Officer Overcoat
Item: GM135

Offered is an all original pre-WWII officers overcoat.  This overcoat is of high quality doe skin wool.  It was tailored by Franz Heidler of Potsdam.  It is named and has a December 1937 date hand written in the inner pocket.  Shoulder boards are sewn on and for the rank of a signals 1st Lt in the 16th Battalion, which was destroyed at Stalingrad with the 16th Panzer Division.  Coat is of average size.   Has a sword hanger which is partially loose from the stitching.  Wool is in excellent condition.  There are a few thin spots, but no holes.  Liner is full and completely intact.  Some damage to the makes label at neck.  A real nice, unaltered overcoat.
